Hello! I'm back!

Hello everyone out in BLOG LAND!   I'm back!!

I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted -but the Holidays got the best of me - with lots of planning and good times with family and friends!  Then I went on another Disney Cruise with my family in January, and February has brought lots of snow storms, and a NEW PUPPY into our lives!
I feel like I have a new baby to take care of - the days and nights just fly by!

While little Valentino is napping - I was able to start a layout to submit to CREATIVE SCRAPPER's #261 Sketch Challenge - and then was lucky enough to spend a few hours with some good friends, at my Local Scrapbook Store - Scrap-a-Doodle Doo on Saturday, to complete it.  ( they are an on-line store too - check them out - GREAT STUFF!)

So - before "Tino" wakes up - here is Sketch #261:

and here is my layout!:

99 % of the products used are from Scrap-a-Doodle Doo  ( everything except the silver reindeer and the acrylic embellishments.)  The paper line is Echo Park's 'Tis the Season, and the silver Snowflake is Chipboard cut from a die and then painted silver. I then used the negative it was cut from and some Pearl Distress Pain to paint some snowflakes on the black and white background patterned paper.

Some silver snowflake ribbon, green polka-dot washi tape and Black Punchinella
cut in half, created the straight lines going across the page. I also spritzed the black and white background with marshmallow Glimmer Mist.  It is all matted on a piece of Red Bazzill, and the edges of all of the elements are inked with Distress Stains in Picket Fence, Black Soot, and Barn Red. I love this picture of my husband and my two sons, and am happy I documented our yearly "quest" to find the biggest, widest, roundest, tallest, Christmas Tree, and that I always have to be the one to bring them back to reality and remind them that our ceiling is only 8 feet high!

Well, I hope you like my layout - and THANKS to Creative Scrappers for the Challenge, and also to Scrap-a-Doodle Doo for being one of the last Scrapbook Stores in our Northern NJ area!  Support your Local Scrapbook Store - not only are they a place for your supplies- the friendships, knowledge, support, classes, and creativity they provide can't be found anywhere else!!

I hope to be more frequent with my posts -  and thank you for stopping by!  Take a minute and say "HI" if you can -I'd Love to hear from you!

Now get SCRAPPY with it!  :-)
